Join Us In Rugby!

It’s no surprise that so many businesses and families are making Rugby their home. The community support here creates endless possibilities. The City of Rugby and Pierce County leaders collaborate closely with local, state, and federal partners to make it all happen.

Business Enviroment

Rugby has approximately 200 businesses ranging from retail stores to national manufacturers with an infrastructure designed to take products where they need to go - across the country or around the globe.  With a workforce to support enterprises with as many as 370 employees, the labor force in Rugby remains both strong and entrepreneurial, including industries as diverse as agriculture, manufacturing, retail, renewable energy and health care. Our major employers include Heart of America Medical Center, Rugby Public Schools, Rugby Manufacturing, and Envision.

Medical

A wide variety of medical services in Rugby serve the needs of the community as well as the surrounding region. Our newly added medical center building, Heart of America, offers care such as emergency services, hospice, sports medicine, long-term care, and more. Rugby additionally has a dental clinic, physical therapy, chiropractors, massage therapy services, behavioral health and pharmacies. Rugby Veterinary Services help with pet and livestock health.

Exploring The Fun around Rugby

Rugby offers countless reasons to call it home, whether you're looking to raise a family, start or grow a business, or simply enjoy a great community. From playing in the community orchestra and performing in Village Arts theatre productions to exploring the many parks, there's no shortage of activities to get involved in. You can also enjoy attractions like the Prairie Village Museum, Lyric Theatre, Rugby Golf Course & Country Club, Music in the Park, and the Pierce County Fair.

On top of all the local events and recreational sports, Rugby’s central location means you’re just an hour away from nearby cities like Minot, Devil's Lake, and Bottineau, each offering even more to explore. With beautiful lakes surrounding Rugby, locals love to spend time swimming, fishing, boating, grilling, and gathering with friends and family. In the winter, activities like ice fishing, ice skating, snowboarding, skiing, and bonfires are popular pastimes. You’ll quickly find that our welcoming community is always eager to invite others to join in on the fun!
