Youth are our future. Training and equipping them with tools to learn and grow in their Entrepreneural skills is a worthwhile investment. Not only do youth provide immense value in the future, they provide incredible value today. By giving them an opportunity and tools to partake on entrepreneurial endeavors they will bring unique ideas, perspectives, and businesses that might not otherwise be available in our community.
This program is available to students in 7th-12th grade that attend either Rugby Highschool or homeschool in Rugby. We are providing up to $3000 per project. This amount will be split equally, with 50% offered as a 0% interest loan and 50% as a grant. There is no minimum amount required for the grant or loan. Terms of the loan will be determined at project approval, maximum payoff period of two years.
To apply fill out an application with a completed business plan by November 1st, 2024 and submit it either to Mandy McNeff or to the JDA office. After we receive your application, we will invite you to present your business plan to the JDA board.
Projects will be judged based on creativity, usefulness, community benefit, and financial feasibility.
We will approve up to $12,000 per year with a max amount per project of $3,000.
